Excellent spanish cuisine! It is time for them to open again.
feels like coming home to your family so friendly such deliciously cooked food. Order paella it's the best you'll ever taste.
Very sweet little Spaniard. The tapas were delicious!
Wonderful! The people are very friendly and everything is delicious! I can only recommend it :)
A nice place if you want to go on a culinary excursion to Spain. The dishes are very tasty, the tapas a dream. The paella very solid. However, I have to deduct two stars. The menu - which is understandable at the moment on paper due to the corona - was unfortunately almost illegible for me, luckily I had my small pocket magnifier in my handbag. And another deduction because the staff didn't point out any wrongdoing to the guests. If a guest is on the phone using the loudspeaker and speaks at extreme volume into the mobile phone, with his face turned to other guests, then I would have wanted a warning. Almost everyone just shook their heads. Please retrain the staff here. Edeltraud
We were there for lunch. The service was very nice and friendly. Drinks and tapas were always quick and delicious. The desserts were fantastic: we had the flan and a daily recommendation made of chocolate. Thanks for the Spanish practice!
Very tasty Spanish food! The service is fine. Not so expensive and very delicious!
Very nice start, speaking German and Spanish, we sat outside, quiet street, very good vegetarian paella
Delicious. Some dishes are even
The food is very good as is the service. For sure it deserves another visit.
Was great! Food was very good too. A compliment to the kitchen! The service was also very friendly. All around great. Keep it up!
Very nice Spanish tapas restaurant with a small selection of small delicacies. Here you can treat yourself to a small snack as well as a somewhat larger dinner at reasonable prices. There is seating outside as well as inside and the staff remains friendly when you send it off for the 5th time because you have discovered something on the menu that you want to try. The only drawback is the possibility of parking in the middle of the city, but with a little patience and perseverance you will certainly find one or the other possibility to park your vehicle.
On the evening of September 15, we celebrated my son's birthday. The atmosphere is very pleasant, and the attention is very cordial. The food (tapas) was fantastic. They had a nice detail and that is that they celebrated his birthday with confetti, a candle and an aperitif. We liked it a lot and of course I recommend it. It is easy to get there with the train and that makes the celebration easier.
It was OK. We have eaten tapas much better in Munich. Fish was very good. Organizationally, it was unfortunately very chaotic for us. The drinks gradually poured in, the cocktails didn't taste good at all (different) And when we were almost finished with the meal, the side dishes of bread and olives came ... the staff was very friendly but we will probably not be more come.
Very tasty tapas at fair prices. Extremely attentive, nice staff, which creates a family atmosphere. Super homemade tinto de verano!
A very spontaneous visit to Spain ended at “el español” We felt very welcome from the beginning to the end! Plus I was able to get a table on a warm late Wednesday evening at the last minute. (The Spanish way ?) Food is rich and delicious!! You got to love garlic ? which isn’t an issue for me at all!! Very tasty variety of the classic Spanish tapas. Especially the prawns ? that come straight from the stove and are still frying.... ?? I had a nice glass of red wine ? called cata I believe that tasted extremely well with all the dishes served. Prices are absolutely reasonable, I recommend to get a bit of everything, just enough to satisfy every taste. I’ll definitely come back!!!! ¡A juntos muchas gracias por todo y hasta luego! ‘Provecho’
For a final assessment you have to go there for a longer period of time, so far I can say there is very good food, the cocktails taste excellent and to top it off there is a small lectores snack with every cocktail ... The cocktails are well filled and cost between 7 and 8 euros until 5 p.m. you get small starters between 4 and 5 euros, otherwise they cost 7 euros, the prices are ok for Munich
I'm very sorry, I have to say that I didn't like it. My family and I have gone once and I assure you that we will not return. The space inside the restaurant is very small, the 4 members of my family have felt quite uncomfortable in the table, the food ..... it was not what we expected, the tortilla was very dry, the garlic prawns were garlic prawns, the Manchego ratatouille was not what we know is the ratatouille, the dry paella ... .the prawns "were like eating paper" - 'said by my son. By the 7/8 people who work there, the service is also regrettable, since the table is "cleared" of the empty plates if you ask for them. and well, lastly ... it is an expensive place, without the food being worth it.
Cozy restaurant with super nice staff, food was excellent, prices are good. Very courteous service and a nice atmosphere. I will gladly come again
Nice place and nice customer service!
Good food, bad service! Although the food is excellent, it has repeatedly been dwarfed by the poor service. On average, 1-2 out of 5 tapas do not reach the table and the option to order tapas or drinks was unfortunately given up 45 minutes after the glasses and plates had been emptied. Adios, El Español!
Worst service in a long time. I have now been to El Español several times and the food has convinced me to come back. But on my birthday with 10 people, some orders (tapas) were simply forgotten and on request we were informed that they were unfortunately no longer in stock. But we weren't told that when we placed the order and we just hoped we wouldn't notice. Today my partner and I gave the restaurant another chance because every restaurant has a bad day. We would be crouched at a table in the corner and first had to wait a bit for our order. It is not too bad. But then something was forgotten again and we were completely ignored 45 minutes after we had finished eating and the drinks were slowly running out. When we wanted to pay we even had to go to the counter because no one came to our table. And although the food is very tasty, I will probably not visit this restaurant again because there are enough alternatives with better service and value for money in the area.
Great place, great food. The choice and quality of tapas is amazing. Very reasonably priced too.
Very tasty Spanish food and good wine and Sangria. However, service was very slow
Nice place..definetly recommended for once and then your choice. I would love to go there again. I reached pretty late but the chef itself came to let me know available items. His recommendation was good. So, I would say definetly worth going. To be specific I ll give 4 becoz, still I haven't tasted their paella..
Only the wine was good ???
Super delicious food, first time I tried Spanish. We had tapas mostly veg but still it was filling and tasty. Ambience is just right, music is not too loud. service was a bit slow, but they were full. I recommend it! Will visit again.
Beautiful ambience, and excellent service. Of course delicious dishes !!! Thank you guys! It was an enjoyable dinner ?
Excellent food, friendly staff and comfy atmosphere.
I like the paella there but this time we were there for Tapas in the afternoon. The sangria was super, the tapas were also good but the portions were quite small.
Crowd was good, the dancers were wonderful
There are only two real Spanish restaurants in Munich. El Español is one of them. The service is very welcoming and the food is for a traditional restaurant for 4 stars. I do not give the 5 cause the size of the tapas. The cocktails are spectacular, really really good.
I didn't like it , but it's ok. It's to expensive for what they offer. Stay away from the worst sangria ever
Staffs are really nice, food is great, and you can see dance on Thursdays.
Good food and atmosphere :)
If you want to eat well in the best Mediterranean style, Español is the right place. Friendly staff, normal prices and mouth-watering tapas. We tasted the "patatas arrugadas" with an exquisite Canarian sauce and excellent salmon salad. Dorado fillet with very good ratatouille. We have been to lunch. Catalan divine cream
Tasty tapas and nice vine
Been there a few times, food is good, but excessively pricey. Whoever thinks the paella is great has not eaten paella before. Small place, crowed and little space between tables. Staff is friendly but spread thin. Better recommended for quick tapas and a couple of drinks. I ain’t saying it’s bad but there are by far much better places.
Very friendly place. Extraordinary tapas
Crowdy and very noisy place but the food was nice
Cozy, authentic, and delicious. There were a lot of tapas and main courses to choose from. We really liked the paella for two, along with the homemade sangria. The servers and locals were friendly and real with us. We'll certainly go back again!
Very tasty
Very nice place, very good food, better workers.
Vegetarian friendly Small restaurant - crowded - reservation needed for peak hours Romantic Mid priced- €€€ Very good presentation Good quality Good taste Friendly service Being a vegetarian I found many choices of Tapas. The paella was piping hot the way I like it. The warm chocolate cake with ice cream was splendid. My favorite was their home made sangria! There was considerable waiting time even though we went close to 22 hours. Still the service personnel were kind and found us a table the sooner they could. One small thing I was unhappy about was they added bread for the table to my bill but never served me bread. I didn't want to make it an issue as it was less than 1€.. Probably the waiter forgot. But still I felt it wasn't right.
Good restauraunt!
The restaurant and staff are nice, but the food quality could be much better.
The food was very tasty! I am also very satisfied with the service, the ambience has regularly asked us if everything fits and if we need something. Very nice and friendly! Prices also very good, which I liked very much was the Spanish music. A great restaurant, again and again :)
Delicious food !
Always popular, good food, friendly service. Has been in Haidhausen for many many years.
Great ambiance! Very tasty tapas. Friendly staff ???
